JUNE 2019 UPDATE: We have now listed ourselves as “open always” on all platforms. We hope this will encourage people to call, email, or instant message us and consider arranging private tours during the week in addition to our regular Saturday and Sunday tours!
Here at the Winchester Food Tour we’re making a concerted effort to overcome the limitations on the various platforms that list our schedule as “closed” during the week and “open” during the weekends. We’ve previously written a blog post, Taste Winchester History Private Food & Beer Tours, detailing how we will pull out the stops to be available most any day of the week and at most any time during those days! This week was just one of those opportunities for us to see how well both TWH and our partners could respond to a “very little notice” request for a private tour!
On Monday evening, April 29th came the request for a private group tour with a requested date of Wednesday, May 1st! Of course, we jumped into action, started making phone calls and sending an avalanche of email to our tours partners, and we were able to put it all together! Many thanks to the roster for the day: Hideaway Cafe, Fellowship of the Sip Organic Tea House & Restaurant, Sexi-Mexi, The German Table, and Red Fox Creamery!  Our tour guests were excited, we all had a lot of fun, we even managed to celebrate a birthday!
So we ask our followers, while we try to find work-arounds for the limitations of Facebook and Google and anyplace else you see a schedule that shows us open “only” on Saturdays and Sundays… SPREAD THE WORD!  We’re not “just open on Saturdays and Sundays.” Saturday and Sunday serve as our regular, recurring tour days and times.  But we will spare no effort to arrange private tours on any other days and at any other times given as much, or in this case very little notice that you can provide, and then we work out availability with our tour partners to get it done!
This week, we were able to show what we can do and a great time was had by all. Thank you to our guests and to our partners for helping us show just what our great town of Winchester has to offer!
Checking out the new wraps on the bollard boxes at each end of the Walking Mall…
Surprising Misty and the guests with a candid shot at Sexi-Mexi… without warning (sorry)…
